What is Bioterrorism?

Bioterrorism is  the intentional release of harmful or deadly bacteria, viruses or toxins into food, air or water supply.  Today Bioterrorism is an increasing threat that could affect anyone of any cultural background.

However, the use of bioweapons has been around since at least sixth century B.C. (this will be discussed in the tab labeled "History of Bioterrorism").  Just a small amount of any agent could be lethal and is considered a weapon of mass destruction.
